Andrew Williams started preaching in 2002 and was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel at Riverview Baptist Church in 2008. He has served as Pastor of Galilee Baptist Church since January 2017.
Andrew grew up in the piney woods of west-central Louisiana near a little town called Anacoco. Growing up on a farm, he spent a lot of time outdoors working, hunting, and fishing; in addition to outdoor life, he also loves baseball (Astros) and college football (LSU Tigers).
After completing his bachelor’s degree at Louisiana College in Psychology, Andrew moved to Fort Worth to work on a master’s degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS). Not only did he get his Masters of Divinity at SWBTS, he also met his lovely wife, DeeDee (she also completed her Masters of Divinity at SWBTS and is currently working on her PhD at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary); in May 2017, he earned his PhD in Theology at SWBTS. Andrew and DeeDee have three children–McKenzie, Wyatt, and Madelyn.
As a pastor, Andrew has a passion to equip believers so that they can have a thriving relationship with Christ and so that they know how to lead others to have one.
